Windsor Windows and Doors Names Rieser President; Stephens, Chief Operating Officer

Windsor Windows and Doors will promote Mark Rieser to president, and Richard Stephens to the newly created position of chief operating officer (COO), effective September 1.

John Smit, Windsor’s president for the past 21 years, will officially retire December 31, but will remain a member of the board of directors of Windsor’s parent company, Woodgrain Millwork Inc., in Fruitland, Idaho.

Rieser has served as vice president of sales and marketing at Windsor since 2002. In conjunction with being named president, he also will assume Smit’s parallel post as window division vice president for Woodgrain Millwork. Rieser has worked nearly 20 years in the industry.

Stephens currently serves as vice president of manufacturing. As COO, he will be in charge of Windsor’s plants in West Des Moines, Iowa, and Monroe, N.C., plus Woodgrain’s Atrium Patio Door Company in Greenville, Texas, and Monarch Window and Door Co. in Anniston, Ala. Stephens has been in the industry for nearly 30 years; he came to Windsor in 1993.
