Weather King Founder Passes AwayOctober 20th, 2015 by Editor
William Earl King, founder and owner of Weather King Windows and Doors, passed away earlier this month at the age of 87. He was known as “an inventor, an innovator and a leader who rarely compromised on his own rigorous standards which led to his continued business success,” according to his obituary.
The company sent a letter to its vendors recently informing them of the news. ‘We will miss his guidance and support but are grateful for the condition he left the company. With the large number of long-term employees, business will continue and we look forward to growing as we love into the future with new leadership.”
King’s daughter, Elizabeth Oliver, who has been vice president for many years, will assume the role of president. She has been with the company for more than 40 years. King’s grandson, Sean Hobbs, who has more than 11 years experience, will continue in the production supervision role he has had for several years.
