Vanguard Fenestration (a division of VPL Enterprises Ltd.), based in Langley, British Columbia, announced that it has sold its metal and die cast division to Fasco of Mississauga, Ontario. Vanguard says this will allow the company to focus on its plastic manufacturing division, while allowing Fasco to expand its market and extend their product offering throughout North America.

“This allows us to increase our focus on our plastic injection molded products as we continue to pursue our growth strategy within the North American fenestration market,” says Bob Smart, president and chief executive officer, VPL Enterprises.

Mark Straub, Fasco general manager says it is a strategic fit for the company.

“For years we have serviced a mainly Eastern North American market,” he says. “By purchasing the Vanguard metals business with their Western location, we now are able to easily service a North American market.”
