Two companies submitted bids for the assets of Florida Extruders International (FEI) at an auction held yesterday. According to court documents, Speyside Acquisition submitted an initial bid of $8,400,000 cash with a good faith deposit of $1,000,000. Benada Aluminum Products  submitted a bid at the same price and made a good faith deposit of $1,000,015.

The court had not yet approved either of the bids and attorneys for FEI had not responded to DWM’s request for comment at press time. Likewise, officials from neither Benada nor Speyside were available for comment.
