Trump Digs Himself Deeper

So I wasn’t going to weigh in on Donald Trump’s comments about ordering windows from China. We’ve done news coverage regarding his statements (CLICK HERE for the latest) and theses speak volumes on their own.

But I just watched him talk for about 12 minutes on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” and many of his comments dealt with China and how he feels the United States is being treated unfairly by China and others. He talked about how the United States is rebuilding China because everything we buy is made there—so you would think that would make him a “buy-American” kind of man but apparently it hasn’t.

His comments on “Morning Joe” echo a statement he sent to DWM magazine yesterday regarding his recent window purchase of Chinese windows. He said he was ordering windows and so many bids came in from China, but the product isn’t nearly as good as by those made by U.S. companies such as Pella—but it’s hard to compete on price.

Well, if he thinks that we’re rebuilding China, isn’t he contributing to that by buying his windows there? I know I’m pointing out the obvious but I think someone needs to point it out to Mr. Trump.
