The Marvin Companies Names New Board MembersApril 22nd, 2019 by Editor
The Marvin Companies made several appointments recently, including the addition of Kirsten Castillo and Russ Becker to its board of directors. Jackie Schneider was named vice president of marketing.
Castillo previously served as the CEO of Logistics Planning Services (LPS) and now serves on the board of advisors for the Fuqua’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at Duke University. Becker is the president and CEO of APi Group Inc., a North American-based specialty contractor. He also serves on the Children’s Hospitals Foundation board, and the Liberty Diversified Industries and Advisory board of directors for the Engineering School at Michigan Technical University.
“Kirsten and Russ are ideal additions to The Marvin Companies board of directors,” said Susan Marvin, chair of Marvin’s board. “Both bring diverse business experience and a passion for innovation, and we are fortunate to add their talents to the board.”
As vice president of marketing, Schneider will work directly with president Darrin Peterson to support the organization’s growth among door and window sales. She has more than 15 years of building industry experience and will be responsible for designing, implementing and monitoring the effectiveness of marketing strategies. Schneider was previously the director of brand marketing for the Heat and Glo brand at Hearth and Home Technologies.
“Jackie brings significant experience as a strategic marketing thought-leader to Marvin,” said Peterson. “Her design expertise coupled with her aptitude for human-centered solutions are an ideal match for Marvin’s evolving product portfolio.”
Schneider also spent several years as a practicing interior architect.
