Tempco Glass Fabrication president Johnson Chen was recognized by the Asian American Business Development Center (AABDC) at its annual 50 Outstanding Asian Americans in Business Awards event.

Tempco Glass Fabrication president Johnson Chen was recognized by the Asian American Business Development Center (AABDC) at its annual 50 Outstanding Asian Americans in Business Awards event.

The national award recognizes Asian-American entrepreneurs and business leaders who have made significant contributions to corporate America, their communities and the economy.

“I am humbled to share this prestigious award with the many esteemed Asian American business leaders who have been recognized in the past,” says Johnson Chen. “I have been really blessed with impactful mentors in my career. Their guidance has helped me build Tempco Glass Fabrication into the dynamic company it is today.”

Chen joined Tempco in 2016 to assess and improve operations. The company has grown under Chen’s leadership, increasing revenues by 75% despite the economic challenges of the 2020-21 pandemic.

Before his time at Tempco, Chen worked at the law offices of several district attorneys and judges. He holds a law degree from St. John’s University and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Carnegie Mellon University.
