VENTANA USA has hired Shaun Smart to its newly created position of purchasing manager. He joins the company with over 20 years of experience and will be responsible for all aspects of purchasing and procurement for Ventana’s product lines, according to the company.

Ventana USA recently announced that its Series 2050 and 2051 garden windows have achieved approval under the current Florida Building Code (FL17444.2) for non-impact applications. The windows were tested by Intertek  and certified by Keystone. Ventana’s Series 2050i impact garden window is approved for use in High Velocity Hurricane Zones.

Tony Pauly, Ventana USA’s vice president and general manager, retired on December 31, 2017, after more than 20 years with the company. He joined Ventana USA as a partner in 1996. FlexScreen has partnered with Ventana USA to open its first manufacturing facility in the Pittsburgh area. The 44,000-square-foot manufacturing facility will operate under the name FlexScreen Pittsburgh LLC and will supply fabricated window screens to the western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio and eastern Michigan markets.
