Report: Window Installation Market to Grow Through 2021

December 14th, 2016 by Editor

The window installation industry grew at an annualized rate of 6.5 percent to $3.5 billion from 2011 to 2016, according to a report from IBISWorld, which projects industry revenue will continue its upward trend into 2021.

Rising home prices and better economic conditions will boost the need for home remodeling activities, while improved corporate profit and increased spending will also create a greater need for window installation services for retail, office, hospitality and industrial spaces.

Like many construction-related fields, the window installation industry was significantly challenged after the housing crash in 2009, largely due to weak demand from home builders. However, that started to change around 2011, according to IBISWorld.

“Government stimulus and incentives for energy-efficient measures facilitated an increase in eco-friendly home and commercial remodeling activity, including installing windows that offer better insulation,” said IBISWorld industry analyst Rory Masterson. As a result, revenue turned a corner in 2013 and has been steadily climbing since.
