ProVia spent the last calendar year expanding six of its facilities.

ProVia wrapped up 2023 by highlighting numerous company expansions. Completed over the course of 2022-23, the company improved a total of six facilities across Ohio.

At the company’s Strasburg facility, a 425,000-square-foot space was added, doubling the footprint for glass production. The facility went from three to nine production lines. Automation has also been added to glass cutting stations, along with multiple retrieval systems, officials said. New capabilities include manufacturing for FlexScreen brand screens and shaped windows, plus a new paint line.

ProVia’s Walnut Creek Facility includes vertical storage to maximize floor space.

At the company’s Walnut Creek Facility, a 170,000-square-foot expansion accommodates a new steel-door line. Completed in 2022, the automated line provides increased speed and efficiency, officials said. The picking process for steel door skins has been automated and includes a vertical storage system, which maximizes use of floor space.

In New Philadelphia, the company purchased, renovated and remodeled a former Times-Reporter newspaper building to accommodate Premier Profile Lamination Inc., a lamination provider ProVia acquired in June 2023.

A new extruder was installed in the Booneville facility for vinyl siding and the company also added a new packaging line.

Last, but not least, at the company’s Sugarcreek facility, an 18,000 square foot addition is underway, to be used for warehousing vinyl patio door profiles.
