Pella, Andersen Named America’s Greatest Workplaces 2023
July 12th, 2023 by EditorPella Corp. and Andersen Corp. both have been named to Newsweek magazine’s list of America’s Greatest Workplaces 2023. The list is compiled after an independent survey of more than 389,000 participants from various companies and industries focused on categories such as professional development, job satisfaction, compensation, work-life balance and more.
“It’s an honor to be included as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces. When we ensure that each team member has a clear path for development and is empowered to do their best work, we unlock success for the individual and for our organization,” said John Bollman, Pella’s chief human resource officer. “Fostering an environment where our team members feel valued and find purpose in their work is a key pillar of our culture, so we’re thrilled to have earned this recognition from Newsweek.”
Pella says the recognition adds to the company’s growing collection of workplace accolades, which includes being named one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity earlier this year, which highlights the company’s commitment to building an inclusive culture.
Pella also holds an average team member tenure of 14 years, a rare achievement among manufacturing companies, the company claims. Contributing to the company’s ability to attract and retain top talent are robust professional development plans, annual profit sharing, and the growth trajectory of the business, officials suggest.
Andersen Corp. also made the list, in the Energy, Resources and Industrials category.
“We are proud to be recognized by Newsweek for our relentless efforts in fostering a supportive and inclusive environment where every Andersen employee is inspired to achieve their full potential,” said Chris Galvin, Andersen’s president and CEO. “With a workforce of over 13,000 team members, we embrace the power of diversity in thought, belief, background and culture. These unique perspectives drive us to create innovative solutions for our current and future customers and make us an industry leader. It is our diverse talents and experiences and our shared commitment to our success that make Andersen a special place to work.”
The Newsweek Greatest Workplaces ranking recognizes the greatest workplaces overall, by state, and based on their performance in the following areas: empowerment of women, promotion of veterans, development of entry-level employees and support for LGBTQ associates.
For Andersen being named a 2023 America’s Greatest Workplaces is just one of many recent accolades, including Newsweek’s list of America’s Most Trustworthy Companies 2023, the Best Places to Work for LGBTQ+ Equality from the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2022 Corporate Equality Index (CEI) and four spots among Forbes’ lists, including World’s Best Employer 2022; Best Employer for Women 2022; Best Employer for Diversity 2022; and Best Large Employer for 2022.
