Palmer-Donavin Investing $800k, Adding 20 Jobs in Licking CountyJune 4th, 2021 by Editor
Palmer-Donavin, a building material distribution and door fabrication company in Columbus, Ohio, has announced plans to expand its manufacturing operations in Union Township, Ohio, investing $800,000 and creating 20 new jobs. Hiring for production and warehouse positions began in May.
To meet growing customer demand for its products, Palmer-Donavin plans to add a second shift of workers at its facility located on O’Neill Drive in Union Township. The company is putting its investment toward facility improvements and machinery and equipment.
“With the tremendous growth we experienced in 2020, expanding our door fabrication operations in the Columbus Region is critical to the future success of our company,” said Palmer-Donavin president and CEO Robyn Pollina. “By investing in a second shift at our Union Township facility and increasing our Ohio workforce, Palmer-Donavin will be building upon the impressive momentum we’ve created over the past year.”
The company was founded in 1907, and currently operates seven additional facilities in the Midwest, servicing 10 states.
“We are excited to expand our operation to an evening shift,” said Palmer-Donavin talent acquisition manager Tom Rodgers. “The new shift will open up opportunities to those who are seeking hours outside of our traditional dayshift. The hours for our new shift are 3:30pm – 12am. As an employee-owned company, we are committed to offering a competitive starting wage of $17.60+ an hour coupled with an unmatched benefits package including quarterly bonuses, stock ownership and comprehensive benefits. As we continue to build out the second shift, we will be adding a production crew for which we are actively seeking applicants.”
