New President and CEO at Cornerstone

James Metcalf retired as president and CEO of Cornerstone Building Brands. Rosa Lee succeeds Metcalf, who will continue in the role of executive chairperson of the board through March 31, 2022. Lee also joins the board as a director of the company.

“Leading Cornerstone Building Brands since its inception has been such an honor for me,” said Metcalf. “Together, we worked diligently to deliver on our strategy towards profitable growth and strengthen our industry leadership. This has been a remarkable journey of transformation and growth and the company is well prepared for this leadership transition.”

Lee was president of DuPont’s water and protection business. She joined DuPont in 2015, and in 2016 assumed the role of president of protection solutions. She was named president of safety and construction in 2017. Prior to joining DuPont, Lee held senior leadership positions at Saint-Gobain.

Weston Wood Solutions Appoints New President

Agostino Nigro has been named the new president for Weston Wood Solutions. Nigro holds a degree in industrial engineering and has extensive experience in supply, logistics and operations, having worked in progressive leadership and executive roles for major national retail chains. Most recently he served as vice president of operations at a leading importer and distributor of building products.

Jeld-Wen Names New VP of Global Corporate Communications

Jeld-Wen Holding Inc. appointed Colleen Penhall to vice president of global corporate communications. Penhall now leads all internal and external communications, reporting to Tim Craven, executive vice president of human resources. She has more than 20 years of experience in communications, reputation management and social responsibility for large, complex organizations, and most recently served as the chief communications and marketing officer at UNC Charlotte. Prior to UNC Charlotte, Penhall spent seven years at Lowe’s Companies Inc., where she served as vice president of the corporate communications and corporate social responsibility functions. Prior to Lowe’s, she served in communications roles for Bank of America, Altria Group and Philip Morris USA.


Kevin Sanders Joins AFI

Automated Fenestration Inc. (AFI) announced that Kevin Sanders joined the company as a project manager. Sanders has more than 20 years of experience in CAD, project management, manufacturing, and commercial construction, officials said. He helps to drive project management and sales by interacting with customers, producing CAD drawings and wiring diagrams for AFI projects, and participates in product development. He reports to Walter Rodriguez, AFI vice president.

Hollis Receives Women in Manufacturing STEP Ahead Award

Heather Hollis, director of marketing for the commercial business unit of Cornerstone Building Brands Inc., will receive the Women in Manufacturing 2021 STEP (science, technology, engineering and production) Ahead Award from The Manufacturing Institute. The annual STEP Ahead Awards recognize exceptional women in manufacturing who demonstrate leadership at all levels of their companies, “from the factory floor to the C-suite.”

Hollis leads market research, customer segmentation, value proposition, brand development and lead generation for the commercial buildings and components businesses. Officials say she is known as a talent developer and has created a legacy of advancing team members to new levels and roles. Additionally, she supports the community through the Kiwanis International Foundation, where she develops the leaders of tomorrow by working with local students.

Hollis will be recognized at the annual Women in Manufacturing STEP Ahead Awards Gala, November 4.
