Janice Yglesias has been picked to lead the American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA), succeeding Rich Walker, who is step-ping aside after 18 years as president and CEO.

Walker joined AAMA in 1996 as technical director and advanced to Southeast region director before accepting the president and CEO position in 2000. Under his leadership, the organization has experienced tremendous growth and success. “Rich has made an indelible, positive impression on the AAMA culture,” said Mike DeSoto, AAMA chair and the COO of MI Windows and Doors.

Yglesias, whose title is executive vice president, began her career at AAMA in 1999. In 2000, she was promoted to marketing manager and has since held other management positions. Most recently, Yglesias served as association services director, continuing to guide her existing areas of responsibility while advising on accounting and product certification activities.

“The board of directors has the highest confidence in Janice,” said DeSoto.
