Marvin Appoints Johnson as First-Ever Chief Digital Officer, Promotes Customer Strategy Leaders
Marvin recently announced Rick Johnson as its first-ever chief digital officer (CDO). The company also announced leadership promotions for its marketing, sales and product management teams.
In his new role, Johnson oversees the design of the company’s future state enterprise technology and digital strategy, as well as its data and analytics initiatives. He comes to Marvin from Sonoco, a $7 billion packaging manufacturer, where he and his team oversaw technology services that supported 300-plus sites and plants in 33 countries.
Among the company’s customer strategy leaders, Malorie Drugg has been promoted to vice president of marketing, while Tim Kasten was promoted to vice president of sales and David Goulet to vice president of research and development and product management.
In their promoted roles, Drugg, Kasten and Goulet partner to provide elevated brand touchpoints, customer experiences and differentiated product offerings in support of builders, architects and homeowners.
NASL Taps Spence to Lead National Business Development and Marketing
North American Specialty Laminations (NASL) has appointed Eric Spence to its leadership team as executive vice president of sales and marketing. Spence comes to NASL after serving as president and CEO of RAM Industries, a Texas-based manufacturer and distributor of luxury door and window products. Prior to RAM, he was the senior vice president of sales and marketing for Ply Gem Industries, and previously served as senior vice president of sales for Jeld-Wen.

Linetec Hires Chapple as Northwest Sales Manager
Linetec hired Joshua Chapple to be its Northwest regional sales manager. Chapple is based out of Wisconsin, where he focuses on clients in Iowa, North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Nebraska, Colorado, Utah and Kansas. He has more than 10 years of experience in sales and marketing, customer service, shaping business partnerships, and was a former national sales manager at Graphic House and Ameron Homes.
Chapple served 10 years in the U.S. Army as a military police officer and earned a degree in criminal justice and police science from Central Texas College.
Palmer-Donavin Announces Management Updates
Palmer-Donavin announced two new roles to support its sales and operations teams. Caleb Grothaus assumed the role of director of business development. At the same time, Dave Wall was promoted to regional director of distribution.
The director of business development role was created amid a strategic planning process and is designed to allow the company to grow in new markets, officials said. The newly created regional director of distribution position is responsible for daily operations at all five building material locations. In his new role, Wall works closely with sales and operations to troubleshoot and create solutions, while improving processes and next-day delivery services.
Patton Recruited as GM of Door Operations at Wincore
Amy Patton was named general manager of door operations at Wincore Windows and Doors, in Parkersburg, W.Va. Patton provides operational leadership and has been tasked with improving efficiencies in process, flow, labor costs and staffing. She will also develop team members to sustain significant growth, officials said. With an extensive background in operations management in the cabinets industry, Patton most recently held the position of plant manager with Wellborn Forest Products.

GED Grows Sales Team
GED Integrated Solutions Inc. announced several promotions. Tom Calcei and Greg Frasher are now senior sales managers, while John Conrad to Northeast sales manager and Gena O’Malley was promoted to inside salesperson.
Since joining GED in the early 1990s, Calcei and Frasher have held multiple roles leading up to senior sales manager. Company officials said both are well recognized by their customers for the resources they represent. Calcei has been in sales with GED since 2000 and Frasher made the transition in 2014.
Conrad was promoted to Northeast sales manager from the role of inside salesperson. Conrad has been with GED since 2021 and has more than 10 years of sales experience.
O’Malley has been with the company since 2015 and previously held the role of manufacturing account manager under the acquisition of Elite Manufacturing. She brings eight years of sales experience.

Altieri Accepted into Forbes Business Council
Joe Altieri, owner of FlexScreen, has been accepted into the Forbes Business Council. Altieri was selected by a review committee based on the depth and diversity of his experience, officials for FlexScreen report. Criteria for acceptance included a track record of successfully impacting business growth metrics, as well as personal and professional achievements and honors.
