Crystal Windows Appoints Yu VP of Sales and Marketing

Crystal Window and Door Systems recently promoted regional sales manager Steven Yu to vice president of sales and marketing. Yu, who has been involved in the company’s sales and marketing efforts for nearly 20 years, will direct sales operations across the country as well as corporate marketing initiatives.

Yu joined Crystal in 2004 as a graphic designer in the marketing department. After holding several positions of progressive responsibility, he was promoted to marketing manager, where he expanded sales support activities to serve the company’s growing sales team. In 2011 and in addition to marketing manager, Yu became regional sales manager for Crystal’s Mid-Atlantic region, which covers Pennsylvania, Delaware and Maryland through Virginia. Under his leadership, regional sales increased five-fold, the company reported. In 2019, he took on responsibility for
Crystal’s New York Metro region, which covers all of New York City and surrounding counties in New York State.

In his new role, Yu is responsible for overseeing sales to commercial and residential trade customers through a team of 36 regional sales managers and professionals. He also directs Crystal’s marketing department activities, including new product launches, print and online communications, trade show and event participation, and customer engagement. In his new role as vice president, he focuses on increasing market share for Crystal in the Southeast and Midwest regions.

All Weather Windows Announces Lakevold and Wiebe as Co-CEOs

All Weather Windows, a Canadian door and window manufacturer, has announced the appointment of Jillene Lakevold and Colin Wiebe as co-CEOs.

Lakevold has been with the company for 18 years, serving in various senior leadership roles, including vice president of manufacturing and director of the company’s commercial channel. A company press release said she played a key role in the building of a collaborative and accountable culture through process implementation and transparency.

Wiebe has been with the company for more than 10 years, most recently serving as vice president of sales and marketing. Officials said he was “instrumental in the development and implementation of sales strategies that have driven significant growth for the company.”

Masonite Appoints Shellabarger as VP and Chief Accounting Officer

Masonite International Corp. recently announced that Katie Shellabarger has been appointed as vice president and chief accounting officer.

“Katie has been an integral part of our finance and accounting leadership team since joining Masonite four years ago,” said Russ Tiejema, the company’s chief financial officer. “Her extensive audit and accounting experience across multiple industries, as well as her strong leadership and deep knowledge of the company, will be invaluable in this new role.”

Shellabarger has served as vice president, internal audit since April 2019. She previously held leadership roles at Deloitte, Protiviti and CDK Global.

ODL Adds Quinnette as VP of Product and Brand Management

ODL Inc. has added to its marketing team, hiring Denise Quinnette as vice president of product and brand management. Quinnette leads the company’s product management, marketing insights and integrated marketing teams, overseeing product development, branding and marketing efforts across all product lines. She joins ODL with nearly 30 years of experience in roles including engineering, operations, sales, marketing and product development. Prior to joining ODL, she held leadership positions at Honeywell, energy-storage innovator Hollingsworth & Vose, and TE Connectivity, a designer and manufacturer of sensor and connectivity solutions.

Jeld-Wen Names Hayes EVP, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary

Jeld-Wen Holding Inc. has appointed Jas S. Hayes executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. Hayes most recently served as senior vice president, deputy general counsel and corporate secretary. He succeeds Roya Behnia, who previously announced her impending retirement in July 2022.

Hayes has more than 20 years of legal experience as in-house counsel for publicly traded global companies. He began his legal career at the law firm Morgan Lewis & Bockius and for more than eight years served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard.

Steves & Sons Mourns the Loss of Jim Parker

Steves & Sons recently announced the loss of team member and dedicated friend Jim Parker.

“This was the day that Superman died,” said Tres Steves, vice president and general manager, about Parker’s passing on May 26.

Steves said Parker, who had a 23- year career with the company, exemplified leadership, can-do attitude, fierce loyalty and an unparalleled expertise in a wide range of fields, the company wrote in a public statement. Parker was an advocate for engineering solutions and equipment designed to enhance every element of manufacturing processes, officials said. He was responsible for updating the design and construction of the company’s door plants in Virginia, Tennessee, Texas and most recently in Brigham City, Utah.

Becker Joins FGIA Staff as Glass Products Specialist

The Fenestration and Glazing Industry Alliance (FGIA) has hired Amy Becker as glass products specialist. In her new role, Becker oversees the operation of the IGCC/IGMA and IGMAC insulating glass certification programs, as well as serves as the internal auditor for FGIA fenestration certification programs. She also provides member support as a staff liaison for glass-focused committees and task groups and represents FGIA and its members at meetings of other industry organizations.
