Deceuninck Adds to Leadership Team, Other Key Promotions
Deceuninck North America has appointed a new vice president of finance to its leadership team, at the same time promoting two key team members central to its material science and research and development departments.
As the new vice president of finance, Dan Hoelting is responsible for strategic leadership of the finance and accounting department. Hoelting brings more than 11 years of finance leadership experience, most recently serving as the global director of finance operations at Hillenbrand Inc. Previous roles in consumer plastics packaging, global aviation, and automotive and industrial plastics give Hoelting a diverse background in manufacturing, officials said.
Paul B. Adams, former director of materials research and development, was promoted to the global role of vice president of materials innovation. Adams is responsible for materials strategy and works closely with experts in all Deceuninck supplier regions, including international locations. He will focus on broadening the organization’s supplier base, building strategic alliances with material suppliers, and implementing a cost-effective strategy.
After serving as director of product research and development for more than 32 years, Jon Hauberg now serves as research and development liaison manager, also overseeing the materials engineering team. In his new role, Hauberg serves as the lead for driving and funneling mid- and long-term innovation ideas.
Marvin Names Sedgwick CFO
Marvin recently named Joe Sedgwick its new chief financial officer (CFO). Sedgwick joins the company’s senior leadership team, overseeing its financial performance, while supporting the development of deeper organizational capabilities, officials said.
Sedgwick has more than 25 years of experience in leadership roles and has built successful financial organizations throughout his career, officials said. Most recently, he was the vice president and CFO for JLG Industries, a $4 billion division of Oshkosh.
Biller Named President of KMR
Key Media & Research, publisher of [DWM] magazine, announced the promotion of Holly X. Biller to the position of president. Biller previously served as vice president of the company and has spent her career in positions of increasing responsibility and advancement there. She has been instrumental in the development of KMR’s digital offerings and the advancement of its live events, international footprint, and many other initiatives during her 28 years at the company.
“We are thrilled to make this announcement,” said Debra Levy, who remains as CEO. “Holly has been managing the day-to-day business for a while, so this role isn’t too new for her. The new title, though, really catches up to what she has been doing.”
Loewen Adds to Senior Leadership
Neil Fast joined Loewen as its president and CEO. Fast has extensive experience in the building products space including past roles as president, vice president and general manager with the Brock White organization, and as regional vice-president of White Cap Supply Canada. The company expressed appreciation to Al Babiuk, who retired from the role of president
and CEO on December 31.
Loewen also announced that Bill Holt joined the company as vice president, sales and customer experience. Holt has nearly 30 years of experience in the industry, including time with Jeld-Wen and other door and window manufacturers.
The company promoted Tyler Sampson and Andrew Kelly from territory managers to regional sales managers for the Eastern and Western regions, respectively. Sampson has more than six years’ experience in the role of Northeastern territory manager and worked as a project manager for a general contractor and with Pella. Kelly has more than 18 months’ experience in the role of territory manager for the territory including Southern California, Arizona and New Mexico. He came to Loewen with 10 years’ worth of experience at Andersen.
Quanex Names Nixon VP of Innovation, New Markets
Quanex named Jim Nixon its first vice president of innovation and new markets. In his new role, Nixon is responsible for advancing new product and market strategies, leading strategy development for Quanex Custom Mixing. He also works to drive revenue and EBITDA growth, while ensuring a return on investment for new product launches and leads strategy development, sales, new product development and market growth. Nixon has more than two decades of experience in the industry, with much of his career focused on growing what was formerly known as LMI Custom Mixing (acquired by Quanex in 2022), serving as general manager for the past 21 years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering with a minor in economics, from Case Western Reserve University, and a master’s degree in business administration from Ashland University.

New Appointments for AkzoNobel Wood Coatings
AkzoNobel Wood Coatings appointed Bob Averett as OEM business development manager, South-East Asia, and Bryan Hodges as color design manager, North America.
Averett leads the development of the OEM wood coatings business across South-East Asia, where he deploys color styling and design expertise, sharing his industry knowledge and practical know-how from concept to commercialization.
Hodges leads the Global Color and Design Center in High Point, N.C., where he’s responsible for translating ideas from designers and product development teams into custom finishes which can be industrialized at manufacture.

H.B. Fuller’s Owens Inducted into ASC Hall of Fame
H.B. Fuller president and CEO James Owens was inducted into the Adhesive and Sealant Council (ASC) Class of 2022 Hall of Fame. Owens is the first inductee into the organization, which honors individuals in the adhesive and sealant industry who have made contributions to the “betterment of the industry.”
Owens spent eight years on the ASC board of directors, including as chairperson of the board and treasurer.
Tempco President Honored with Business Award
Tempco Glass Fabrication president Johnson Chen was recognized by the Asian American Business Development Center (AABDC) with one of its annual 50 Outstanding Asian Americans in Business Awards.
The national award recognizes Asian-American entrepreneurs and business leaders who have made significant contributions to corporate America, their communities and the economy.
“I am humbled to share this prestigious award with the many esteemed Asian American business leaders who have been recognized in the past,” says Chen. “I have been really blessed with impactful mentors in my career.”

Joe Sennese, Veteran Employee of Vitro, Passes
Joe Sennese, a veteran employee of Vitro Architectural Glass, passed away on Nov. 7, 2022, following a long battle with cancer.
Sennese joined Vitro in 2005 as an architect representative, then quickly rose through the ranks, becoming a national architectural manager, director of architectural development and manager of product sales and business development. “Joe was an invaluable part of our team, and served as a mentor to so many in the industry,” says Glenn Davis, vice president of international sales and sales development.

DeMarco Becomes Crystal Window and Door Systems’ First Female Sales Manager
Vivian DeMarco was recently promoted from San Diego account executive to the first female sales manager for Crystal Window & Door Systems. In her new role, DeMarco is responsible for overseeing sales operations for the entire West Coast territory at Crystal Pacific Window and Door Systems, Crystal’s West Coast production affiliate based in Riverside, Calif.
She brings more than 25 years of sales experience in the fenestration industry to the role.
DeMarco joined Crystal Pacific in 2013 as the San Diego branch and distribution manager, then moved into sales, becoming senior account executive for San Diego and Orange County. Before her time at Crystal, she was a sales representative for Superior Windows and Doors, a territory manager for Cascade Windows and a sales representative for Sommer and
Maca Glass Industries.

Window World Announces New Leadership for Louisville Stores
Window World announced new leadership for its Elizabethtown, Ky., and Louisville, Ky., locations. Window World of Elizabethtown and Window World of Kentuckiana will be owned by husband-and-wife team Tom and Lillian Fawbush, along with their children Tom Fawbush Jr. and Sarah Waskey.
Louisville natives, Tom and Lillian Fawbush joined the Window World team 17 years ago as the owner-operators of a franchise in South Central Indiana. Prior to joining the company, Tom worked as a sales and design consultant, while Lillian held the position of vice president of human resources for Citi.
Their son, Tom Jr., brings 33 years of media experience to the business, having served as the vice president of Word Media Group and as director of the media brokering agency Spectrum Solutions. At Word Media Group, he managed four television stations nationally, as well as two locally, and five radio stations in Louisville. His sister, Sarah, will use her 22 years of accounting expertise to oversee both stores’ finances.
