ODL® Tubular Skylights Earn “Green Approved” Product Seal
November 24th, 2009 by EditorODL Inc. has announced that its 10- and 14-inch ENERGY STAR®-qualified tubular skylights have been “Green Approved” by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) Research Center. ODL Tubular Skylights have now been approved as eligible for earning points under the National Green Building Standard toward green certification of a home if the product is used in a qualifying way.
“Companies like ODL who have earned the NAHB Research Center’s Green Approved mark are helping mainstream builders make the right choices when they design and build Green Certified homes,” says Michael Luzier, president, NAHB Research Center.
ODL officials say the company’s tubular skylight meets all requirements for the three major Green building programs: ENERGY STAR, the U.S. Green Building Council’s (USGBC) Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED®) for Homes and the National Association of Home Builders’ (NAHB) Model Green Home Building Guidelines.
