NFRC Moves from Three Annual Meetings to Two

January 10th, 2012 by Editor

The National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) has revised its annual meeting cycle to include two meetings rather than three. This change will take effect during this year.

According to the announcement, the revision provides NFRC’s task groups with additional time to perform the research required to create more comprehensive ballots, ultimately effecting more rapid improvements in the organization’s ratings programs.

NFRC’s meeting manager, Cheryl Gendron, says this new cycle is a result of direct requests from many stakeholders who stated they didn’t have enough time to meet and invest the work needed to move the NFRC’s programs forward.

“We are hopeful this change will bring out the best in our talented and knowledgeable members,” Gendron says. “The adjustment to two meetings, spaced out throughout the year, will allow more than 20 weeks for our volunteers to meet at the task group level and present relevant, thorough ballots for incorporation into our program.
