The board of directors of the National Fenestration Rating Council (NFRC) elected a new team of corporate officers to lead its executive committee in 2020. Leadership members include:
- Chair: John Gordon, National Certified Testing Laboratories (NCTL);
- Vice Chair: Anthony Cinnamon, Wiss, Janney, Elstner Associates Inc.;
- Secretary: Ravi Srinivasan, University of Florida; and
- Treasurer: Greg McKenna, Kawneer.
New officers began their terms immediately, according to the council.
“We have a dynamic, experienced group of professionals leading our board this year,” said CEO Deb Callahan. “These new officers will help NFRC lead the way in advancing energy efficiency in residential and commercial buildings. I’m extremely excited to work with them as they help NFRC build a sustainable future.”
Newly elected board chairman John Gordon said he is honored to be chosen from among his peers to lead the board. As a Simulation and Thermal Operations Manager at National Certified Testing Laboratories Inc., Gordon has worked closely with NFRC program staff. He also plans to support the continued growth of NFRC and sees the board as an opportunity to involve more people in the organization.
Cinnamon joined the board in 2019 and has worked in inspections and investigations of building facades, exterior wall systems, and fenestration systems since 1995. His work covers high-rise residential and office buildings, institutions, sports arenas, and historic structures.
Srinivasan serves on the ANS Standards Committee and is a tenured associate professor of low/net-zero energy buildings at the M.E. Rinker School of Construction Management at the University of Florida.
McKenna has more than three decades of experience in the fenestration and commercial building products industry, including seven patents that directly relate to thermal efficiency and daylighting improvements for products used in the building envelope. He is a professional engineer and a certified fenestration master.
