Last week, Loewen Windows hosted a celebration at its corporate headquarters in Steinbach, Manitoba, in honor of its 110th anniversary.

The event featured a special exhibit of photos and memorabilia from the company’s past that will be included in the Loewen Museum.

Steinbach Mayor Chris Goertzen and local Member of the Legislative Assembly Kelvin Goertzen addressed the crowd and thanked Loewen for its strong presence and support for Manitoba and Steinbach.

“We are proud of this milestone and want to recognize the dedication of all our employees, dealers and business partners throughout the years in helping build the company – this kind of longevity is rare in any industry and reflects the enduring quality of the Loewen brand,” said Al Babiuk, Loewen’s president and CEO.

“The story of the creation and growth of Loewen is deeply tied to the Loewen family and to the growth of the city of Steinbach itself,” said Clyde Loewen, senior vice president of product and marketing. “The culture, institutions and ethics of the community has supported the foundation and progress of Loewen, and in turn the local culture and institutions have been prominently supported over the years by Loewen.”
