Lauren to Offer Tuition Assistance

Lauren Manufacturing is launching a tuition assistance program to offer production department employees the opportunity to earn funds toward their education at either Kent State University Tuscarawas or Buckeye Career Center.

According to a news release from Lauren, these three entities worked together to develop a program that helps the company grow its workforce while giving those employees a boost to further their education.

“There is a strong work ethic in this area and Lauren Manufacturing offers a range of opportunities for recent high school graduates to make their mark,” says Mike Hovan, chief operating officer at Lauren. “We are excited to create this type of bond with Kent State University Tuscarawas and Buckeye Career Center. It helps all of us educate and employ our local community and that’s good for everyone.”

The program is available after 90 days of employment, and the company does not require a long-term commitment on behalf of the employee once an educational goal is met.

“While our tuition is more affordable than many colleges and universities, it is still challenging to budget those costs,” says Brad Bielski, dean at Kent State Tuscarawas. “We are thrilled to partner with Lauren Manufacturing to help more students realize their full potential and gain such critical work experience along the way.”
