Lauren Manufacturing’s sister company, LMI Custom Mixing, has added a third mixing line to its operations that will help both companies meet long-term customer demands.

As part of an expansion project focused on facility improvements, LMI also has added 50,000 square feet of warehousing and storage as well as upgraded plant infrastructure.

With the addition of the third mixer line, LMI has increased the annual production capacity of its operations to 60 million pounds of rubber, a 50 percent increase.

“We’re incredibly proud to be able to make this investment in U.S. manufacturing,” said LMI General Manager Jim Nixon. “Our vision is to build upon our reputation for operating one of the most advanced facilities of its kind.”

LMI is a primary provider of polymer compounds used by Lauren Manufacturing to create custom sealing solutions for leading OEMs, designers and builders. The company is a joint venture between Lauren International and Toyoda Gosei. LMI opened in 1998 as a stand-alone business entity focusing on advanced methods for mixing of polymer compounds.
