Intek Plastics has acquired the customer assets and production tooling of Hall Manufacturing Corp., a Ringwood, N.J.-based plastic extrusion company. According to the company, the acquisition supports Intek’s strategy to grow and diversify its business into markets outside of the fenestration  industry, where it has a strong footprint and customer base.

“This acquisition is a great fit with our current business,” said Jill Hesselroth, Intek’s CEO. “It will allow us to produce an expanded portfolio of products for a broader range of industries.”

Intek Plastics is a privately held company that engineers, extrudes and fabricates custom plastic extrusions for medium-to-large OEMs. Founded in 1961, the company employs more than 200 workers and has facilities in Hastings, Minn., and Hawthorne, N.J. Its fenestration products include door and window weatherstripping and components, continuous-seal weatherstripping, thermal breaks, plastic extruded door sweeps, window jambliners, compression gaskets and extrusions.

Hall Manufacturing Corp. is a plastic extrusion company serving clients with custom and standard extrusions. The company, which was founded in 1946, serves the point-of-purchase (POP), refrigeration, marine, sporting goods and electrical tools industries.
