FlexScreen, a company that officials say produces the “first and only flexible window screen in the world,” was named as a finalist for the 2020 Edison Awards.

The Edison Best New Product Awards is an annual competition for new products and services development, marketing, human-centered design and innovation. FlexScreen secured one of the top three finalist positions in the world-wide competition, not long after being featured on the TV show Shark Tank, landing a deal with investor Lori Greiner.

Other finalists include Airbus, IBM, PepsiCo, Reebok, Bausch & Lomb, Dupont, and Dow. FlexScreen inventor and president Joe Altieri was understandably pleased.

“Being nominated for an Edison Award is quite an honor, but to be named a finalist, along with the other amazing companies on the list, is an incredibly humbling experience,” Altieri said. “I’m so thankful for this opportunity, and for the entire FlexScreen team that has worked so hard to get us to the place where this recognition is possible.”

The 2020 Edison Award winners will be announced in April.
