New features for the line scanner include a bending check to measure the degree of bowing in a lite. It also includes a muntin angularity check.

Huffman also discussed the company’s new anisotropy or iridescence check, which can measure the stress levels in glass.

Additionally, the company’s cullet scanner has been improved. Huffman said it uses the same hardware as the line scanner, but it also checks for break-testing patterns.

After Huffman’s talk, groups broke off to continue their collaborative work on improvements to FeneVision in three focus tracks – FeneVision basics, windows or glass.

On Monday, FeneTech hosted an evening of entertainment at the Bertram Inn & Conference Center. Comedian Jason Douglas, who has appeared on Comedy Central and ESPN’s College Game Day, performed a stand-up routine.

The FeneVision Users Conference continues through Wednesday.
