EPA Releases Updates on Energy Star Most Efficient

July 12th, 2021 by Tara Taffera

A day after the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) released Draft 1 for the upcoming Energy Star 7.0 revisions, the EPA announced proposed recognition criteria for ENERGY STAR Most Efficient 2022. No changes, however, are being proposed for residential window or sliding doors.

“While high performance Most Efficient window products are widely available, they are still a relatively small slice of total market with 494 window product lines and 16 sliding glass door product lines recognized,” according to the EPA.

Stakeholders are invited to provide written comments on the proposed criteria no later than August 15, 2021 to MostEfficient@energystar.gov.
