Canadian Company Opens “Energy Showroom”

Duxton Windows and Doors, a Canadian-owned manufacturer of fiberglass doors and windows, recently created Fenestration Centre to assist designers and consumers with finding the right doors and windows to achieve their energy goals. Windows represent a critical component in a tight building envelope, and factors such as insulation, natural lighting, ventilation and solar heat gain all need to be carefully considered prior to purchasing, according to Al Dueck, founder and president.

Visitors to the Fenestration Centre will find more detailed information including the differences in frame materials, performance values by glass type and 3D drawings of wall sections to show different applications.

“This showroom has incorporated a variety of ideas to more effectively communicate the options that designers and clients have available to them,” adds Dueck.
