France-based Arkema, which acquired Bostik, recently released its third-quarter results. The Bostik acquisition caused the company to increase in nearly every quantitative metric.

Report highlights include:

  • €1.95 billion ($2 billion) in sales, up 32 percent year over year, with Bostik contributing to 28 percent of that;
  • An earning before interest taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) increase to €286 million ($309 million U.S.), up 38 percent from 2014, during which the company earned €207 million ($224 million;
  • EBITDA margin increase to 7 percent, up .7 percent year-over-year despite Bostik’s “dilutive effect”; and
  • Adjusted net income of €95 million ($103 million), up 36 percent from 2014.
