Arkema Expands in the Philippines

April 21st, 2016 by Casey Flores

Bostik, the specialty adhesives business line of Arkema, has expanded its production capacities with the opening of a new plant in the Philippines. The new location will serve construction customers in the country’s highest-growing regions, Mindanao and Visayas, with a new manufacturing plant in Misamis Oriental.

“We are pleased to continue Bostik’s expansion in the Philippines with the opening of this new plant,” says senior vice president of Asia Jeffrey Merkt. “Development in high growth geographic regions is one of the central components of our growth strategy and this new facility will enable us to significantly grow our construction business in this important market.”

The location opened officially on March 18, but Bostik has been active in the Philippines since 2005.

This new facility represents the latest development in its international expansion following recent plant openings in Mexico, the U.S., India, Brazil and Malaysia.
