Are We Back On Track?

September 8th, 2014 by Editor

The residential window market grew 10% in 2013. And according to the WDMA’s recently released Window and Entry Door 2014 U.S. Market Study, we can expect continued growth of 9.1% in 2014 and 8.3% in 2015.

But, like most of you, I am asking: Are we really back on track for sustainable growth in our industry?

Recent economic news points to YES. Unemployment continues to slowly creep down. New home starts are growing. Business owner sentiments are improving with strong confidence in the Fed’s direction.

My hope is that fall mid-term elections don’t derail the progress we’ve made so far so continuous and sustainable growth can be realized.

The View from Here, as we head into GlassBuild, is that most of the industry will be arriving in Las Vegas with a sense of hope and optimism for the future of our industry. If you happen to be going, don’t forget to stop by the Quanex booth #1929 to see all of the latest.
