Andersen Corp. Names Jay Lund President

lundAndersen Corporation announced today that Jay Lund has been named president and chief operating officer, as part of the company’s succession plan, with the goal of ensuring strong executive leadership.Lund reports to Jim Humphrey, who remains chief executive officer and chairman of the board.

On September 1 Lund will become the 10th president in the company’s history. He joined Andersen in 1985 and has held a number of leadership positions in sales and marketing management. In 2006, Lund was named group senior vice president of Sales, Marketing and Logistics, with additional responsibilities for Andersen subsidiaries Eagle Window & Door, KML Windows and Renewal by Andersen. In 2008, he was named president of the Andersen Window and Door Group, at which time he was also appointed to the Board of Directors for Andersen Corporation.

“This is another step in the succession plan that the Board and I have been implementing over the last few years to ensure strong executive leadership, “said Humphrey.

“We have every confidence in Jay’s ability to lead the company and we know he is well prepared for this role. It’s clear that Jay is a visionary thinker and an inspiring leader with an unwavering passion to win.
“Among the many things that I admire about Jay, uppermost are his pride in being a part of Andersen and his belief in the core values that have made it such a special company,” Humphrey said.

“I am honored to be named president of this outstanding company,” said Lund. “We have a great team and, while we are operating in a challenging environment, I am excited about the future.”

As chief executive officer, Humphrey will continue to be responsible for the overall performance of the corporation as well as focusing on the long-term strategic direction of the company. Randy Iles, president of Silver Line, will continue to report to him for a period of time before transitioning the reporting relationship to Jay Lund, as part of the planned transition.
