The Association of Millwork Distributors (AMD) recently announced that for the first time in the history of the organization it will extend full registration to industry professionals in a new “open‐show” attendance policy for its 45th Annual Convention in San Antonio to be held October 7‐12, 2009.”Opening our show provides an opportunity to bring together more people in our industry at a central location,” says Rosalie Leone, AMD chief executive officer (CEO). “Our annual convention consists of a premier education program, a full trade show packed with exhibit booths and building products as well as multiple networking events. AMD has a reputation for creating a quality event and making registration open to professionals in the housing and building product industries allows our association to step up during this economy and, literally, open some doors for opportunity.”

The AMD 45th Annual Convention will feature three days of building products exhibition with a focus on millwork. The meeting agenda allows for a plethora of networking opportunities and meetings-both business and socially oriented. Keynote speaker Howard Putnam, the former CEO of Southwest Airlines, heads the list of speakers showcased in eight educational sessions, seminars and workshops on the economy, energy, codes, the housing outlook, green, sales and much more.
