AAMA Opens Early Bird Registration for Annual Conference

January 8th, 2019 by Drew Vass, Executive Editor

The American Architectural Manufacturers Association (AAMA) recently announced that early bird registration has begun for its 82nd Annual Conference. The event will be held from February 25-28, 2019, at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells in Indian Wells, Calif. Officials for the Schaumburg, Ill.-based association say its early bird rate will be guaranteed through January 28.

Kevin McCarthy, author of “BlindSpots – Why Good People Make Bad Choices,” will serve as the event’s keynote speaker.

A Western Region 2019 Winter Summit will follow the conference in the same location, but requires separate registration.
Kevin McCarthy, author of “BlindSpots – Why Good People Make Bad Choices,” will serve as the event’s keynote speaker, aiming to teach members how to identify blind spots and to mitigate their impact at work and home, leading them to, “make better, more ethical decisions and enjoy better communications and deeper relationships,” McCarthy suggests.
Optional events at the conference will include a golf tournament on the Indian Wells Golf Course, an ATV desert experience, a “Legends and Icons” tour, and a cooking demo with the hotel’s culinary chef. In honor of Kim Flanary, a longtime member and industry advocate who passed away November 10, 2018, the association also is hosting a 5K run/walk event, marking his lifetime of leadership and achievements.
