2015 Residential Construction Spending up Year-Over-Year

The U.S. Census Bureau recently put out a report that showed proof of a positive trend in the residential construction industry.

During December 2015, overall construction spending was estimated at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of $1,116.6 billion, with $429.6 billion of that being residential.

That number is up 0.9 percent from November 2015, which had residential construction spending valued at $425.8 billion.

According to the report, residential construction for all of 2015 averaged at $416.8 billion, 12.6 percent above the 2014 figure of $370.0 billion.
